Mt. Washington
is best known for its view of the Pittsburgh Skyline and the Monongahela and Duquesne inclines enjoyed by both tourists and commuters. Mt. Washington is home to upscale restaurants, bars, and parks. Although the ride up the mountain in either one of the Port Authority’s inclines is well worth it, it’s also a private neighborhood with cute little houses, and a business district offering all you need in a neighborhood- shops, bars, restaurants, and a library. And there is a lot of exciting energy surrounding the new Grandview Scenic Byway city park and growing business district. This area is popular with both young single professionals and families that have lived in the neighborhood for generations.
